EnListen Programs

For the most effective sound listening training available, we offer individualized EnListen Programs. Each program is developed based on information gathered during an individual’s assessment by a Licensed EnListen Professional. The program, which is administered and monitored by a qualified specialist, may be delivered at a professional’s office, a school, business, home, or wherever the computer can be taken.

Using state-of-the-art digital technology, these customized programs are for adults and children who have specific needs or are seeking a more effective solution for an unmet goal. Some people do a program for a new experience and to generally improve how they listen to music, lectures, their friends and family. Our expanding network of Licensed EnListen Professionals can provide programs for educational, wellness, business, musical, social, movement, and personal growth goals, no matter what the person’s starting competency level may be.

EnListen Corporation has licensed the music of Mozart and other classical composers, performed by world-class orchestras, from APM Music. Depending on the client’s goals, EnListen programs may use copyrighted stories, children’s songs, Gregorian Chant, and the mother’s voice. Many programs provide microphone practice with repeating words and phrases and reading aloud to improve voice quality and speech fluency.

Before a program is begun, our trained professionals perform a full client evaluation and assessment designed to determine an individual’s listening strengths and weaknesses and their impact on the person’s performance in seven types of intelligence.

The assessment begins with completion of a confidential questionnaire about the person’s health history, academic and/or work accomplishments, and needs. The Licensed EnListen Professional may do one or more standardized or non-normed tests to further refine the information about the person’s abilities to listen and learn. In addition, information is gathered from a consultation with the person and reports from other professionals with whom the individual has worked. Environmental factors are also taken into account, including where the program will be delivered.

Using the EnListen Assessment and Decision Model software and/or the Listening Program Editor, a highly effective and customized program is prepared to achieve specific goals set by the client and agreed to by the professional.

The program is then administered and monitored by the professional who will provide reassessment on a regular basis to measure progress and adjust the program as needed. If the program is delivered in the home, monitoring may be done by email and phone.

A typical program length is 60 – 90 hours, delivered in intensives of 20 to 30 hours each, with breaks of four weeks between intensives for integration of the changes. Clients listen in one to two and a half hour segments each day, with the length determined by the professional. While listening, a person can do activities such as playing games, putting puzzles or legos together, talking, creating arts and crafts, exercising, or sleeping. While the computer modifies the sounds and provides the delivery mechanism, the listener’s only interaction during the EnListen program is to turn it on and adjust the volume to a comfortable level.

Because of the ear’s vast influence and extensive involvement at every level of the nervous system clients should expect to see improvements in the areas of work, athletics, health, performing arts, science, math, education, relationships, and personal growth. Programs can be determined to improve processing in all competency levels.
